Getting There

Most treks begin with the short but spectacular Lukla flight from Kathmandu. During peak months, flights may operate via Ramechhap Airport (4 hrs by road from the capital). For a more gradual ascent and fewer crowds, overland options via Jiri or Salleri are also available.

Trekkers requires these permits:

• Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit
